Sales & Distribution Assistant

About the Role

Studio ST is looking for a Sales & Distribution Assistant to build and lead the domestic and international distribution of premium fabrics and wallpapers. This is a high-ownership, ground-up role for someone who thrives on building systems from scratch, understands the nuances of premium, design-led products, and is comfortable operating with autonomy in a growing creative business.

You will be instrumental in shaping how our products reach the market — from establishing distribution networks to creating immersive, high-touch client experiences that reflect the brand's design philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Distribution Strategy: Develop and implement robust domestic and international sales and distribution systems from the ground up.
  • Partner & Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with distributors, retailers, architects, designers, and other relevant trade partners.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new markets, geographies, and business opportunities for growth.
  • Process Design: Create scalable, repeatable processes for sales operations and distribution management.
  • Experience Centre Development: Design and build the framework for an experience centre focused on curated, one-on-one client interactions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the creative and studio teams to ensure a consistent, on-brand experience across all client and partner touchpoints.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience building sales and/or distribution systems from scratch, ideally in a premium, design-led, or luxury products environment.
  • Strong understanding of and appreciation for premium design, materials, and craftsmanship (fabrics, wallpapers, interiors, or related categories preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with trade partners such as distributors, retailers, architects, and designers.
  • Experience with both domestic and international market development.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable taking ownership, working with ambiguity, and building processes where none currently exist.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with creative and studio teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, distribution, or channel management, preferably within design, home decor, textiles, or luxury/premium consumer goods.
  • Experience working in or with a growing/scaling creative or design business is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Cover letter is optional. References may be requested upon shortlisting. We look forward to receiving your application!
