FOUNDER’S
Journey
Shambhavi Tiwari is the founder and creative director of Shambhavi T. Her journey began with textiles, but her exposure to design has been multidisciplinary, which is mirrored with the studio’s expansion to provide surface designs for various verticals, from wallpapers to tableware and stationery, as well as experience design for weddings and hospitality venues. At the core of her work is a process-driven approach that blends design sensibility with traditional printmaking techniques.
"A process-led approach will yield a different outcome every time, even if the deliverable is the same."

She prioritizes these principles to allow for no trade-offs between expected outcomes and final deliverables, letting the design resonate with authenticity and celebrate the art of handmade. She invites both businesses and creatives to see tradition in a new light. Before establishing the studio, Shambhavi worked for nearly a decade as an independent designer. In 2020, she put down roots in Jaipur, owing to the city’s longstanding association with creative and cultural production. She planted the seeds for the studio “garden” to flourish, one flower at a time.
Shambhavi is a graduate of the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, and completed a semester exchange program at ENSAD, Paris. She is the recipient of the Alumni Ambassador title by the French Embassy for the 2023-25 tenure.

“For all our designs, we follow a process-driven approach, which allows us to reach a new outcome every time, even if the requirements are always the same. A flower remains a flower, and a leaf, a leaf, but through the process, we find ways of seeing them in new light.
